Service being deployed

GEO satellite communications for connected operations.

ArgonX is deploying its GEO satellite communications service for IoT applications and remote operations. The service forms part of our broader work across connected devices, embedded systems and operational platforms.

What “being deployed” means

GEO satellite communications are in deployment. This page is an invitation to discuss an application, not a statement of global availability, uninterrupted service, a latency guarantee, commercial readiness for every use, battery life, an operator partnership or superiority over another network.

Satellite reception is a connectivity option for suitable installations. It is not automatic for every device, and it is not a claim of coverage underground or through obstructed environments.

Applications we can discuss

These are application discussions, not delivered case studies:

  • Remote asset monitoring
  • Agriculture and animal tracking
  • Vehicle and logistics information
  • Remote surface infrastructure
  • Environmental monitoring

Integration

We assess device requirements, reporting needs, power constraints and the software integration as part of a bespoke solution. Reporting interval and positioning quality depend on the hardware and the link that are selected. AIoT can be the operational view when the project calls for it. The satellite service does not replace site communications design.

Satellite connectivity for remote IoT applications

GEO means geostationary Earth orbit. For a remote IoT project, the useful starting point is the device, its location, the information it needs to send and the available power. ArgonX GEO communications are being deployed; coverage, reporting behaviour and integration are confirmed for each application.
