The ArgonX software platform

ArgonX AIoT. Connected data, operational context.

AIoT brings devices, assets, telemetry and operational workflows into a shared platform approach. Its scope extends beyond monitoring to traceability, digital representations, documents, work management and integration, with AI and machine learning applications developed around the needs and data of each use case.

From a device to an operational workflow

Connected devices become useful when their data is tied to an asset, a place and a process. The path below is the platform approach. A deployment uses the stages the project needs. It does not switch every capability on by default.

  1. 1

    Field devices and business systems

Equipment, sensors and external systems are the sources. They are not assumed to share one protocol.

  2. 2

    Connectivity and gateways

Information arrives through the gateways and links the installation actually uses. Satellite communications are being deployed as one option, not as automatic connectivity for every device.

  3. 3

    Ingestion and telemetry

Readings are taken in, stored as history and kept available for investigation.

  4. 4

    Assets and relationships

Device and asset identities, profiles, hierarchy and relationships give the data a business context.

  5. 5

    Rules, workflows and analytics

Configurable rules, alarms and workflows connect an observation to a response. Analytics are scoped to the data you have.

  6. 6

    Dashboards, mobile views and APIs

Operators, field staff and other systems use the views and interfaces agreed for the deployment.

Connect

Equipment, sensors and external systems feed information through appropriate protocols, gateways and integrations. Satellite communications are being deployed as part of the broader connectivity offering. Choosing AIoT does not add a satellite link to a device that does not have one.

Understand

Device and asset identities, profiles, hierarchy and relationships give data a business context. Telemetry history, maps and dashboards help operators investigate changing conditions. A map shows the observations that were received. It does not fill gaps where the device could not report.

Act

Configurable rules, alarms and notifications connect observations to a response. Workflows, work orders, documents and integration APIs support the operational process. The response is defined with the customer. The platform does not take autonomous control of equipment.

Trace

Animal identity and lifecycle, movement and custody, vehicle and asset traceability, and the records or attachments that belong with them, are capability areas. The implementation scope is agreed per project. Location tracking and lifecycle traceability are related, and they are not the same record.

Extend

Solution configuration and integration support different industries. AI and ML, advanced analytics, and specialist twin or control requirements need the appropriate data, engineering and validation. Civilian drone operational views can be discussed where they are in scope. That is not autonomous flight and it is not a certified aviation system.

Capability areas

  • Device and asset management

Onboarding, profiles and the ongoing state of devices and the assets they represent.

  • Telemetry and history

Current readings and the record of how conditions changed.

  • Dashboards and geospatial views

Operating views, maps and geofencing where the deployment includes location.

  • Rules, alarms and notifications

Configurable thresholds and notifications. A rule is not autonomous control.

  • APIs, gateways and integrations

Enterprise interfaces so other systems can supply or consume operational data.

  • Multi-tenant access structure

Tenants, users and access arranged around the organisations that share a deployment.

  • Digital representation

Workflows that keep a digital representation of an asset aligned with the equipment and records. Specialist twin or control requirements need their own engineering and validation.

  • Animal and produce traceability

Identity, movement, custody and lifecycle records, including produce-trace themes where the project needs them.

  • Fleet and vehicle operations

Vehicle and asset traceability for logistics discussions. A route on a map is not a guarantee of continuous positioning.

  • Documents and attachments

Records and files kept with the asset or the workflow they belong to.

  • Work management

Work orders and workflow so an observation can become a task someone owns.

  • Solution configuration

The same foundations configured for different industries, without pretending one screen fits every operation.

  • AI and ML development

Opportunities for artificial intelligence and machine learning are identified per use case. Planned algorithms are not described as validated production AI.

Where it is used

Sector conversations include agriculture and livestock, mining and industry, vehicles and logistics, utilities and smart infrastructure, and security and access. Smart locks, mine safety and animal traceability are the product areas most often connected to the platform. Other sectors are described under experience.

What a delivery includes

The delivered solution combines platform foundations with configuration, device and system integration, and any specialist development agreed for your application. Supported screens, hardware, analytics and service commitments are defined for the selected deployment.

Artificial intelligence of things, grounded in your data

AIoT combines connected-device information with software that gives it operational meaning. ArgonX starts with device and asset identity, telemetry, records and workflows; artificial intelligence and machine learning are scoped where the available data and a defined decision justify their development.
